1. Quotes
We provide free, no-obligation quotes. Quotes are based on the information and any photos you give us and, where applicable, an inspection of the site. A quote is valid for 30 days unless we say otherwise. If the job turns out to be materially different from what was described (for example, a larger area, heavier soiling, or different surfaces), we may need to revise the price, we’ll always discuss this with you before doing any additional work.
2. Bookings
A booking is confirmed once we’ve agreed a date and the scope of work with you (by phone, text, email or in person). Please make sure the details we’ve confirmed, address, services and any special instructions, are correct. It’s your responsibility to ensure you’re authorised to request work at the property; if you are not the owner, you confirm you have the owner’s permission.
3. Pricing & payment
- Prices are quoted in Australian dollars.
- Payment is due in full on completion of the job, unless we’ve agreed different terms in writing. We do not require a deposit for standard residential work.
- For commercial, strata or larger jobs we may issue an invoice with separate payment terms, which we’ll confirm before starting.
- We’ll let you know the payment methods we accept when you book.
- If payment is not made when due, we may charge reasonable costs of recovery and suspend any further work.
4. Access & site requirements
To carry out the work safely and on time, please ensure that before we arrive:
- we have clear, safe access to all areas we’re working on, including side gates;
- vehicles, pot plants, furniture, toys and other moveable items are cleared from the work area;
- windows and doors near the work area are closed;
- pets are kept secured and away from the work area; and
- we’re told about anything we should know, for example, fragile surfaces, recent repairs, leaks, loose render, or painted surfaces.
If we can’t access the property or start the work because the site isn’t ready (a “lockout”), we may need to reschedule and a call-out fee may apply.
5. Water & power
Some jobs (turf laying, irrigation work, wash-downs) use your outside tap and, where needed, power. Please make sure a working outside tap is available if the job needs one. If water or power access is a problem at your property, let us know when you book so we can plan for it.
6. Scope of work & results
We’ll match the method to the plant, the lawn and the season, and aim for the best result the garden can safely take. Trimming, weeding, mulching and turf work improve most gardens quickly, but some things take time or cannot be fixed in one visit, for example, a lawn thinned by shade or poor drainage, a hedge with bare woody centres, dieback in an established tree, or damage that existed before we started. Growth and recovery depend on weather, soil and watering, so a reasonable result on a stressed or neglected garden is not a defect in our work.
7. 100% Satisfaction Guarantee
We stand behind our work. If you're not happy with the result, we'll come back and re-do the affected area at no extra cost. Let us know within 7 days of completion and we'll return to finish any areas we genuinely missed or under-did. This guarantee covers the workmanship of the service we agreed to provide. It does not cover conditions that cannot be fixed by garden work (see “Scope of work & results”), regrowth that happens after we leave, or work outside the agreed scope.
8. Cancellations & rescheduling
Plans change, that’s fine. We just ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule, and there’s no fee for doing so. For cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice, or if we arrive and can’t carry out the work due to a lockout or the site not being ready, a reasonable call-out fee may apply to cover our time and travel. We may also cancel or reschedule a job, for example for safety, weather or circumstances beyond our control, and we’ll give you as much notice as we can.
9. Recurring plans (Golden Circle Membership)
We offer recurring maintenance plans (Monthly, Quarterly and Biannual) at a discount to our standard one-off pricing (“Golden Circle Membership”). The following applies in addition to the rest of these terms whenever you’re on an Golden Circle Membership plan.
Eligibility. Golden Circle Membership savings are intended for customers who commit to ongoing recurring services. Any service you've had with Golden Landscaping before joining a plan is charged at our standard one-off price and doesn't count toward a Golden Circle Membership plan year, once you join, the discount and your plan year both start from your first plan visit.
Fixed-term commitment. When you join Golden Circle, you're committing to complete the visits in your chosen schedule (12 for Monthly, 4 for Quarterly, 2 for Biannual) within that plan year. This is a genuine minimum-term arrangement, not a pay-as-you-go service, and the discount you receive on every visit reflects that commitment.
How pricing and savings work. Each Golden Circle Membership visit is discounted immediately, at the time of invoicing, off our standard one-off price. The saving is Monthly $125 per visit, Quarterly $100 per visit, and Biannual $50 per visit, capped at 25% of that visit’s standard price, whichever is lower. Your rate is locked in for as long as you remain on that plan tier without a gap. We may update plan pricing and terms for new sign-ups at any time, this does not change the rate on your existing membership.
Cancelling early. You can cancel your Golden Circle Membership at any time by telling us. If you cancel before completing the visits in your current plan year, a cancellation fee applies. The fee equals the total discounts you've received on visits completed so far in that plan year. It will never exceed the total discount you've actually received, we don't charge a separate penalty on top. We don't charge this fee if you complete the full plan year.
Switching tiers or rejoining. You can switch between Monthly, Quarterly and Biannual at any time. Switching starts a new plan year on the new schedule; visits completed on your previous tier don't carry across, and switching is not treated as a cancellation, so no cancellation fee applies. If you cancel and pay any applicable fee, you're welcome to rejoin a plan whenever suits you.
Billing. Each visit is invoiced individually at the discounted price when the service is completed, payable by bank transfer or PayID. A cancellation fee, if it applies, is invoiced separately when you cancel.
Plan year and renewal. A plan year is complete once you have had all the visits for your chosen schedule. Once complete, your plan automatically renews on the same schedule and a new plan year begins, unless you tell us you want to stop. We'll email you the moment your plan year completes and renewal happens, so you always have a real chance to change or stop your plan before your next visit, cancelling a plan you've just completed carries no cancellation fee.
Ending your membership from our side. We may end your Golden Circle Membership with reasonable notice for the reasons set out elsewhere in these terms (safety, non-payment, access issues, and similar). If we end your membership, no cancellation fee applies, and you are not charged for future visits we do not provide.
Everything else in these terms, including quotes, access requirements, scope of work, our satisfaction guarantee, weather rescheduling and so on, applies to plan visits the same as any other job.
10. Weather
Outdoor work is weather-dependent. For safety and quality, we may need to reschedule your job due to rain, storms, high wind or extreme heat. We’ll contact you to arrange the next available time, and you won’t be charged for a weather rescheduling.
11. Existing damage & risk
Garden work can sometimes reveal or disturb pre-existing issues, for example, hidden irrigation lines, buried cabling, rotted fence posts or retaining timbers, unstable paving, or a tree or hedge that turns out to be dead or diseased under the outer growth. Where you’ve told us about a known issue, or where we identify a risk, we’ll discuss it with you before proceeding. We are not responsible for damage caused by, or made worse by, pre-existing defects, faulty fixtures, or conditions we were not made aware of.
12. Liability & insurance
We carry public liability insurance and take care on every job. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any loss or damage is limited to (at our option) re-performing the relevant work or paying the reasonable cost of having it re-performed. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Any claim relating to damage must be reported to us as soon as reasonably possible, and within 7 days of completion, so we have a fair opportunity to inspect and respond.
13. Your consumer rights
Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)). For major failures you’re entitled to a remedy as required by that law, and to compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Nothing in these terms limits or removes those rights. The limitations above apply only to the extent the law allows.
14. Photos
We take before-and-after photos of the work area to document each job and to show you the result. We may also use anonymised before-and-after images to promote our services (for example, on our website or social media). These won’t identify you or your address. If you’d prefer we don’t use photos of your property for promotion, just let us know and we’ll respect that.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
