Garden Edging
A permanent edge between lawn and garden bed that stays put.

How does garden edging work?
A garden without a proper edge slowly bleeds into the lawn, mulch washes onto the grass, grass creeps into the bed, and the clean line disappears within a season.
We install steel and timber edging set into a trench and pinned or staked below ground, holding a straight run or a tight curve without shifting, so the boundary between lawn and bed stays sharp long after the job's done.
It suits new garden beds being cut in, existing beds that have lost their line, and driveway or path borders.

FAQ
Garden Edging, your questions answered
Steel or timber edging, which is better?
Steel holds a tight curve and lasts decades without rotting, timber suits a softer cottage look and costs less up front. Both work well, it comes down to the look you want and the budget.
Is this the same as mowing edges?
No, that's a routine part of a mowing visit. This is installing a permanent physical edge, steel or timber strip, that separates lawn from garden bed so the line stays crisp between mows.
How often should I have this done?
It depends on the job and the season, lawns and hedges want a regular rhythm through the warmer months, while bigger garden work is usually a once or twice a year thing. We will suggest an interval that suits your yard, and on a Golden Circle Membership plan we track the timing so it never gets forgotten.
Do I need to be home while you work?
Not necessarily. As long as we can get to the yard and to an outdoor tap if the job needs water, plenty of our residential work is done while you're out, we confirm everything beforehand and send photos when it's finished.
Are you fully insured?
Yes, Golden Landscaping is fully insured, and we're owner-operated, so the person who quotes your job is the person responsible for the result.
Is the quote really free and fixed?
Yes. Quotes are free and fixed, you'll know the price before we start, with no hourly meter and no surprises on the invoice. A quick call with a couple of photos is usually all we need.
Do you take the green waste away?
Yes. Clippings, prunings and garden debris can be mulched back where that suits, left in your green bin, or taken away with us, just tell us which you would prefer when you book.
