Lawn Aeration
Relieve compacted soil so water, air and feed reach the roots.

How does lawn aeration work?
Compacted soil is one of the quietest causes of a struggling lawn. Water runs off instead of soaking in, roots stay shallow, and no amount of fertiliser fixes it because the feed never gets down there.
Aeration opens up the profile so water, air and nutrients reach the root zone, and it pairs well with a feed straight afterwards while the holes are open.
It's most worthwhile on clay soils, heavily used backyards and lawns that have been down for years without treatment.

FAQ
Lawn Aeration, your questions answered
How do I know my lawn needs aerating?
Water pooling or running off, soil that's hard to push a screwdriver into, and thin patches in high-traffic areas are the usual signs. Clay soils and well-used backyards benefit most.
What's the best time of year to aerate?
Warm-season lawns are best aerated in the growing season so they recover quickly. We'd rather book you in at the right time than do it out of season for the sake of it.
How often should I have this done?
It depends on the job and the season, lawns and hedges want a regular rhythm through the warmer months, while bigger garden work is usually a once or twice a year thing. We will suggest an interval that suits your yard, and on a Golden Circle Membership plan we track the timing so it never gets forgotten.
Do I need to be home while you work?
Not necessarily. As long as we can get to the yard and to an outdoor tap if the job needs water, plenty of our residential work is done while you're out, we confirm everything beforehand and send photos when it's finished.
Are you fully insured?
Yes, Golden Landscaping is fully insured, and we're owner-operated, so the person who quotes your job is the person responsible for the result.
Is the quote really free and fixed?
Yes. Quotes are free and fixed, you'll know the price before we start, with no hourly meter and no surprises on the invoice. A quick call with a couple of photos is usually all we need.
Do you take the green waste away?
Yes. Clippings, prunings and garden debris can be mulched back where that suits, left in your green bin, or taken away with us, just tell us which you would prefer when you book.
