Fertilising & Weed Control
Feed the grass, knock back the weeds, and let the lawn thicken up.

How does fertilising & weed control work?
A hungry lawn thins out, and a thin lawn fills with weeds. Feeding and weed control work together: the fertiliser pushes growth and colour, and knocking back broadleaf weeds and winter grass gives that new growth room to spread.
We match the product and rate to your grass type and the time of year, because a summer feed on a cool-season lawn does more harm than good.
Best results come from a couple of treatments across the year rather than one big hit, and we're happy to set that up as a schedule.

FAQ
Fertilising & Weed Control, your questions answered
Is it safe for kids and pets?
We use standard, label-registered lawn products and follow the directions on re-entry times. We'll tell you on the day how long to keep kids and pets off the lawn, usually until the product has dried or been watered in.
How long before I see a difference?
Colour from a fertiliser usually shows within a couple of weeks in growing weather. Weeds die back over one to three weeks depending on the type, and heavy infestations sometimes need a follow-up.
How often should I have this done?
It depends on the job and the season, lawns and hedges want a regular rhythm through the warmer months, while bigger garden work is usually a once or twice a year thing. We will suggest an interval that suits your yard, and on a Golden Circle Membership plan we track the timing so it never gets forgotten.
Do I need to be home while you work?
Not necessarily. As long as we can get to the yard and to an outdoor tap if the job needs water, plenty of our residential work is done while you're out, we confirm everything beforehand and send photos when it's finished.
Are you fully insured?
Yes, Golden Landscaping is fully insured, and we're owner-operated, so the person who quotes your job is the person responsible for the result.
Is the quote really free and fixed?
Yes. Quotes are free and fixed, you'll know the price before we start, with no hourly meter and no surprises on the invoice. A quick call with a couple of photos is usually all we need.
Do you take the green waste away?
Yes. Clippings, prunings and garden debris can be mulched back where that suits, left in your green bin, or taken away with us, just tell us which you would prefer when you book.
