Artificial Turf Installation
A synthetic lawn on a properly built base, not just rolled onto the dirt.

How does artificial turf installation work?
Artificial turf lives or dies on the base underneath it, the same way real turf does. We excavate, install a compacted road-base sub-base with proper falls for drainage, then a shock-pad layer where it's needed before the turf goes down.
Joins are pinned and glued so seams don't lift, edges are trimmed clean against paving and garden beds, and infill is brushed through to keep the pile standing up rather than matting down.
It suits shaded areas where real grass struggles, high-traffic side yards, and anyone who wants a lawn without the weekly mow.

FAQ
Artificial Turf Installation, your questions answered
How long does artificial turf last?
A good quality synthetic lawn on a properly prepared base typically lasts well over a decade with only occasional brushing and rinsing, no mowing, feeding or watering in between.
Does it get too hot to walk on?
It can run warmer than real grass on a full-sun summer afternoon, the same as any dark synthetic surface. A quick hose-down cools it straight back down, and shaded areas aren't affected.
How often should I have this done?
It depends on the job and the season, lawns and hedges want a regular rhythm through the warmer months, while bigger garden work is usually a once or twice a year thing. We will suggest an interval that suits your yard, and on a Golden Circle Membership plan we track the timing so it never gets forgotten.
Do I need to be home while you work?
Not necessarily. As long as we can get to the yard and to an outdoor tap if the job needs water, plenty of our residential work is done while you're out, we confirm everything beforehand and send photos when it's finished.
Are you fully insured?
Yes, Golden Landscaping is fully insured, and we're owner-operated, so the person who quotes your job is the person responsible for the result.
Is the quote really free and fixed?
Yes. Quotes are free and fixed, you'll know the price before we start, with no hourly meter and no surprises on the invoice. A quick call with a couple of photos is usually all we need.
Do you take the green waste away?
Yes. Clippings, prunings and garden debris can be mulched back where that suits, left in your green bin, or taken away with us, just tell us which you would prefer when you book.
