Lawn Renovation
Bring a tired, patchy lawn back rather than starting again.

How does lawn renovation work?
A lawn that's thin, bumpy and full of weeds isn't always a re-turf job. Renovation combines the steps that fix the underlying problems, dethatching, aeration, levelling, weed control and a proper feed, so the existing grass can thicken up and fill the gaps itself.
We look at what's actually wrong first. Shade, drainage and compaction all cause similar-looking patchiness, and treating the wrong one wastes your money.
Where an area is too far gone we'll patch it with fresh turf rather than pretending it will grow back.

FAQ
Lawn Renovation, your questions answered
Can a bad lawn be saved, or should I re-turf?
If there's still reasonable coverage, a renovation is usually cheaper and works well. Once most of the lawn is gone or the wrong grass has taken over, fresh turf is the honest answer, we'll tell you which one you're looking at.
How long does a renovated lawn take to come good?
Expect it to look worse before it looks better. Most lawns start filling in over a few weeks in growing weather, with the full result across a season.
How often should I have this done?
It depends on the job and the season, lawns and hedges want a regular rhythm through the warmer months, while bigger garden work is usually a once or twice a year thing. We will suggest an interval that suits your yard, and on a Golden Circle Membership plan we track the timing so it never gets forgotten.
Do I need to be home while you work?
Not necessarily. As long as we can get to the yard and to an outdoor tap if the job needs water, plenty of our residential work is done while you're out, we confirm everything beforehand and send photos when it's finished.
Are you fully insured?
Yes, Golden Landscaping is fully insured, and we're owner-operated, so the person who quotes your job is the person responsible for the result.
Is the quote really free and fixed?
Yes. Quotes are free and fixed, you'll know the price before we start, with no hourly meter and no surprises on the invoice. A quick call with a couple of photos is usually all we need.
Do you take the green waste away?
Yes. Clippings, prunings and garden debris can be mulched back where that suits, left in your green bin, or taken away with us, just tell us which you would prefer when you book.
