Garden Lighting

Paths, steps and planting lit properly after dark.

Golden Landscaping, Sydney

How does garden lighting work?

Lighting is what makes a garden usable after work in winter, and it's what makes steps and paths safe to walk. It also does more for how a yard looks at night than almost anything else.

We plan and install low-voltage and solar lighting, path lights, step lights, spots on trees and feature planting, and lighting for entertaining areas, aimed to avoid glare into windows or a neighbour's yard.

Anything needing mains wiring is handed to a licensed electrician.

  • Free, fixed-price quotes, no surprises

FAQ

Garden Lighting, your questions answered

Do I need an electrician?

For low-voltage and solar garden lighting, generally no. Anything involving mains wiring or a new power point does need a licensed electrician, and we'll bring one in or tell you to rather than doing it ourselves.

Is solar lighting bright enough?

For path marking and soft accent light, often yes. For genuinely lighting steps or an entertaining area, low-voltage wired lighting is far more reliable, especially through winter.

How often should I have this done?

It depends on the job and the season, lawns and hedges want a regular rhythm through the warmer months, while bigger garden work is usually a once or twice a year thing. We will suggest an interval that suits your yard, and on a Golden Circle Membership plan we track the timing so it never gets forgotten.

Do I need to be home while you work?

Not necessarily. As long as we can get to the yard and to an outdoor tap if the job needs water, plenty of our residential work is done while you're out, we confirm everything beforehand and send photos when it's finished.

Are you fully insured?

Yes, Golden Landscaping is fully insured, and we're owner-operated, so the person who quotes your job is the person responsible for the result.

Is the quote really free and fixed?

Yes. Quotes are free and fixed, you'll know the price before we start, with no hourly meter and no surprises on the invoice. A quick call with a couple of photos is usually all we need.

Do you take the green waste away?

Yes. Clippings, prunings and garden debris can be mulched back where that suits, left in your green bin, or taken away with us, just tell us which you would prefer when you book.
