1. Quotes

We provide free, no-obligation quotes. Quotes are based on the information and any photos you give us and, where applicable, an inspection of the site. A quote is valid for 30 days unless we say otherwise. If the job turns out to be materially different from what was described (for example, a larger area, heavier soiling, or different surfaces), we may need to revise the price, we’ll always discuss this with you before doing any additional work.

2. Bookings

A booking is confirmed once we’ve agreed a date and the scope of work with you (by phone, text, email or in person). Please make sure the details we’ve confirmed, address, services and any special instructions, are correct. It’s your responsibility to ensure you’re authorised to request work at the property; if you are not the owner, you confirm you have the owner’s permission.

3. Pricing & payment

4. Access & site requirements

To carry out the work safely and on time, please ensure that before we arrive:

If we can’t access the property or start the work because the site isn’t ready (a “lockout”), we may need to reschedule and a call-out fee may apply.

5. Water & power

Some jobs (turf laying, irrigation work, wash-downs) use your outside tap and, where needed, power. Please make sure a working outside tap is available if the job needs one. If water or power access is a problem at your property, let us know when you book so we can plan for it.

6. Scope of work & results

We’ll match the method to the plant, the lawn and the season, and aim for the best result the garden can safely take. Trimming, weeding, mulching and turf work improve most gardens quickly, but some things take time or cannot be fixed in one visit, for example, a lawn thinned by shade or poor drainage, a hedge with bare woody centres, dieback in an established tree, or damage that existed before we started. Growth and recovery depend on weather, soil and watering, so a reasonable result on a stressed or neglected garden is not a defect in our work.

7. Satisfaction guarantee

We stand behind our work. If you’re not happy with an area we’ve worked on, let us know within 7 days of completion and we’ll return to finish any areas we genuinely missed or under-did, at no charge. This guarantee covers the workmanship of the service we agreed to provide. It does not cover conditions that cannot be fixed by garden work (see “Scope of work & results”), regrowth that happens after we leave, or work outside the agreed scope.

8. Cancellations & rescheduling

Plans change, that’s fine. We just ask for at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule, and there’s no fee for doing so. For cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice, or if we arrive and can’t carry out the work due to a lockout or the site not being ready, a reasonable call-out fee may apply to cover our time and travel. We may also cancel or reschedule a job, for example for safety, weather or circumstances beyond our control, and we’ll give you as much notice as we can.

9. Recurring plans (Golden Circle Membership)

We offer recurring maintenance plans (Monthly, Quarterly and Biannual) at a discount to our standard one-off pricing (“Golden Circle Membership”). The following applies in addition to the rest of these terms whenever you’re on an Golden Circle Membership plan.

Eligibility and first service. Golden Circle Membership discounts are intended for customers who commit to ongoing recurring services. Your first-ever service with Golden Landscaping is charged at our standard one-off price and is not eligible for an Golden Circle Membership discount. The Golden Circle Membership discount applies to subsequent scheduled visits while you remain on the applicable plan.

How the discount works. Each eligible plan visit is discounted by a flat dollar amount or a percentage of that visit’s standard price, whichever is greater. The current rates are: Monthly $125 or 12% per visit, Quarterly $100 or 10% per visit, and Biannual $50 or 7% per visit. The discount on any single visit is capped at 25% of that visit’s standard price, so smaller jobs are never discounted below a workable rate. Your rates are locked in for as long as you remain on that plan tier, though we may update plan pricing and terms for new sign-ups at any time.

Billing. Plans are billed per visit, not upfront. No card is kept on file, after each completed visit we’ll send you an invoice for the applicable discounted amount, payable by bank transfer or PayID.

Cancellation and minimum commitment. You may cancel your plan at any time. However, Golden Circle Membership discounts are conditional on completing the applicable plan year. A plan year consists of 12 visits for Monthly, 4 visits for Quarterly, and 2 visits for Biannual.

If you cancel or otherwise leave the plan before completing the applicable plan year, any Golden Circle Membership discounts already received during that incomplete plan year will be reversed. We will invoice you for the difference between the discounted amount you paid and our standard one-off price for each discounted visit received during that incomplete plan year.

This amount will never exceed the total Golden Circle Membership discounts actually received. We do not charge a separate cancellation fee or penalty. Once the applicable plan year has been completed, all discounts received during that completed plan year are yours to keep.

For the avoidance of doubt, cancelling immediately after receiving an Golden Circle Membership discount does not allow a customer to retain that discount where the applicable plan year has not been completed.

Plan renewal. After completing a plan year, the plan will continue on the same recurring schedule unless cancelled by the customer. A new plan year will then begin.

Everything else in these terms, including quotes, access requirements, scope of work, our satisfaction guarantee, weather rescheduling and so on, applies to plan visits the same as any other job.

10. Weather

Outdoor work is weather-dependent. For safety and quality, we may need to reschedule your job due to rain, storms, high wind or extreme heat. We’ll contact you to arrange the next available time, and you won’t be charged for a weather rescheduling.

11. Existing damage & risk

Garden work can sometimes reveal or disturb pre-existing issues, for example, hidden irrigation lines, buried cabling, rotted fence posts or retaining timbers, unstable paving, or a tree or hedge that turns out to be dead or diseased under the outer growth. Where you’ve told us about a known issue, or where we identify a risk, we’ll discuss it with you before proceeding. We are not responsible for damage caused by, or made worse by, pre-existing defects, faulty fixtures, or conditions we were not made aware of.

12. Liability & insurance

We carry public liability insurance and take care on every job. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability for any loss or damage is limited to (at our option) re-performing the relevant work or paying the reasonable cost of having it re-performed. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Any claim relating to damage must be reported to us as soon as reasonably possible, and within 7 days of completion, so we have a fair opportunity to inspect and respond.

13. Your consumer rights

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth)). For major failures you’re entitled to a remedy as required by that law, and to compensation for reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. Nothing in these terms limits or removes those rights. The limitations above apply only to the extent the law allows.

14. Photos

We take before-and-after photos of the work area to document each job and to show you the result. We may also use anonymised before-and-after images to promote our services (for example, on our website or social media). These won’t identify you or your address. If you’d prefer we don’t use photos of your property for promotion, just let us know and we’ll respect that.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. You submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
